KATE BRADY || AUGUST || REMIX
A music video collaboration between artist Poppy & Co. (Kelsey Huffer) and myself, and working with singer/songwriter Kathleen to direct, create, and produce "Kate Brady || August || REMIX". Kate Brady worked with a friend musician to remix her original song "August" to create "August: Klinger Remix", which is presented in our music video in the digital art internet-micro-genre style of "chill wave". This micro-genre often portrays cloudy scenery, pastel coloring, and music characterized by synthesizers, looping, and simple melodic lines.
DAVID + KELSEY
"David + Kelsey" was a collaboration digital art project between Poppy & Co. (Kelsey Huffer) and myself. The project, completed for our Studio Arts degree program at the University of Colorado Boulder, called for us to present a digital art project in the form of a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) event. A BYOB event is a series of one-night-exhibitions hosting artists and their projectors, which works as following: (1) find a space, (2) invite many artists, and (3) ask them to bring their projectors. The video is based on a photograph of our professors, which can be seen in the video, and presents Kelsey and my emulation of the photograph to present the similarities between the relationship of our professors and that of my co-creator. The music is Latino N' Proud by DJ Raff.
BLUE
"Blue" is a project completed for my Studio Arts degree program at the University of Colorado Boulder, which called for me to present a digital art project in the form of a video production. This video, directed, created, and produced by myself, staring Kelsey Huffer, presents a woman, who seems somewhat content to start, walking around town. Along her journey, one begins to understand her current dismay, through reminiscent of happier times. Set to a cover version of Beyoncé's song "Blue" by Jade McDonald, which gives the namesake of the project, the video is centered around the Columbia Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado.
